For the lawyers etal: USERS MUST DECIDE FOR THEMSELVES the quality and accuracy of data and information made available here. This web server is operted as a public service to provide access to GPS data that is believed to be suitable for survey grade differential calculations. This server and the base stations operate automatically. GPS data should be available shortly after the GPS day ends. The GPS day ends at 8:00pm Eastern Daylight time and 7:00pm Eastern Standard time. Data files are in Rinex format. All modern GPS software known to the author can use Rinex format. The base station located in Beckley, West Virginia, (BKLY) uses a dual frequency receiver and antenna. BKLY should continue to collect data even during power failures for as much as 48 hours. BKLY is owned, operated, and maintained by Ray Gwinn. The BKLY base station became operational on June 22, 2001. The base station located in Glenville, West Virginia, (GSSP) is operated by the Glenville State College Survey Program. The base station is maintained by Rick Witte. The dual frequency receiver, antenna and automation scripts were provided by Ray Gwinn. The GSSP base station became operational on September 28, 2002. |
